Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.

2. User Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, truthful information when registering and submitting forms.
• Maintain the security of your account credentials and not share them with others.
• Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Respect the rights and dignity of other members and community members.
• Use the Service in compliance with all applicable Jamaican and international laws.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose.
• Submit false, misleading, or spam content through any form or submission tool.
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate another person.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or systems.
• Introduce malware, viruses, or harmful code.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute content from the Service without permission.
• Misuse OAuth integrations, including attempting to access another user's Google or YouTube data without authorization.

4. Member Contributions and Submissions

When you submit content (help requests, advertisements, music, showcases, comments, etc.), you grant SR-FDN a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and use that content within the Service for its charitable and community purposes. You remain responsible for the accuracy and legality of what you submit. SR-FDN reserves the right to review, approve, reject, or remove any submission.

5. Donations and Payments

Donations are voluntary and non-refundable except where required by law. Payments are processed by third-party providers (such as Stripe) and direct methods. SR-FDN is not liable for errors or delays caused by payment providers. Scholarship awards, if any, are governed by their published program rules.

6. Limitations and Disclaimers

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access at all times.
• Content on the Service is for informational and community purposes and is not professional legal, medical, or financial advice.
• Any reliance on information from the Service is at your own risk.

7. Service Rules

SR-FDN may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email to registered members.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SR-FDN and its directors, officers, volunteers, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you donated through the Service in the preceding twelve months, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

9. Legal Protections for SR-FDN

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, SR-FDN operates for charitable and educational purposes. Nothing in these Terms waives any protections or immunities available to the Foundation under applicable law. You agree to indemnify and hold SR-FDN harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Foundation's place of operation. Disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts of jurisdiction.
